Part one didn't make it to this blog. You can see it here: Art Class Reminiscing
These are my earliest attempts at dragons
Pencil drawing from grade 10 or 11 (15 or 16years old). I received a grade of 46/50 with a comment "good composition and detail". I still do like the composition and may revisit this again someday when my painting skills are improved.
Like most of my artwork, this was not stored properly and just folded in half, so what looks like smoke coming out of the dragons mouth is really an imprint from the wing. You can see the other parts if you look. However, it did add a little bit of shading to the head that was lacking. lol
The top got cut off by a small amount in the scanning - the little dragon in the background does have wings. lol

This is my first and only oil painting. I think I was 16 or 17years old. Art supplies were one of the first things I bought once I started working at 16. We didn't get to try oils in school.

After this I had started another painting and did a dark blue and black background. I taped the canvas to our glass dining room table since I didn't have any other kind of set-up available. I left for a short time and our cat walked across it and then onto the pale pink fabric-covered chairs. So that was the end of my oil painting experiments.
